FRANKS FOR THE MEMORIES BUFFALO WING EVENTS
Franks For The Memories sponsors hot Buffalo Wing contests throughout the year in the Chicagoland area. Below is a list of this year's upcoming events that be will be both on and off-site. To enter any of the Buffalo Wing eating competetions, please print out an application and follow all instructions.

These events are fun for the whole family as there are many other festivities that surround that day's main event. Plenty of music and food for all.

BUFFALO WING EVENTS

KING OF THE WING COMPETITION
Hot Buffalo Wing Eating Contest - July 4, 2008

This 4th of July, Franks For the Memories, in conjuction with H & H Productions, will be throwing a hot Buffalo Wing eating competition at the Village of Mundelein Munch at their Main Stage. This will be a short form 15 minute all you can eat contest and will start at approximately 4:00 pm.

A limit of 8 contestants, who need to be over 18 years of age, will be competing for trophies, as well as a cash prize. To view the rules and regulations and enter this competition please download an application and follow instructions for entry. CLICK HERE FOR APPLICATION AND RULES

2ND ANNUAL WING SLING COMPETITION
Hot Buffalo Wing Eating Contest - July 19, 2008

July 19th, 2008 - Franks For the Memories, in conjuction with H & H Productions, will be throwing the 2nd Annual WING SLING contest. This is of course another hot Buffalo Wing eating competition to be held onsite. Complete day event with food and music for all ages. The festivities kick off at 11:30 am until 9:00 pm. The actual hot buffalo wing eating contest will be from 5:00 pm until 6:00 pm, followed by awards at 7:00 pm. CLICK HERE FOR APPLICATION AND RULES

ARTS and CRAFTS VENDORS

Do you have any Arts and Crafts to sell? At the 2nd Annual WING SLING contest, which is an all day event, there will be an Arts and Crafts area set up from Noon until 8:00 pm. Franks For The Memories and Buffalo Wings

An experiment in 1964 at the Anchor Bar in Buffalo, N.Y. caused the creation of “Buffalo Wings”. The owner, Theresa Bellissimo, took chicken wings, removed the tip and cut them at the joint, leaving the drumstick portion and the flat part. She then deep fried the pieces and basted them in a butter and hot sauce recipe. From what was an improvised snack for her son and his friends grew to be the most popular item at their restaurant. The popularity eventually spread to numerous other restaurants in the Buffalo area, and from there, down the east coast and all across the country.

20 years later, Jim and Carol Schultz, natives of Buffalo who had relocated to the Chicago area years before, decided to open the restaurant and share with everybody the tasty morsels that made them homesick.

Today, just as my parents did, we prepare our Buffalo Wings authentically - they are large, meaty, crispy and delicious. Select from mild, medium, hot and extra hot sauces as well as several specialty sauces. Family owned and operated for nearly twenty five years, our Buffalo style wings have continuously been a Lake County favorite. We hope that you enjoy!
